Bigcommerce is one of the largest hosted eCommerce platforms. The vendor announced its Design Awards Competition in April this year. Participants from all over the world from different industries competed to inspire the jury and users.
The submission of entries to the 2016 Design Awards Competition remained open from April 20 to May 6. The interested companies registered and submitted their designs. The Bigcommerce store owners were asked to come with their website designs.
Picking The Best
The jury of design experts has to pick one grand prize winner and 3 runners-up. These design experts are taken from Bigcommerce, Uber, and Inc. Magazine.
Besides the jury's decisions, users were also invited to vote for the best. These users include design enthusiasts, aficionados, common users, designers, and developers that also carefully voted to pick one design to be the People's Choice Award winner.
Besides these 4 winners, one was to be selected by the audience based on their social voting. We are waiting for all the finalists to be announced in June. All the entries were carefully evaluated by the internationally-recognized designers that make up the panel of judges. They evaluated each design for their aesthetics, creativity, professionalism, and usability.
Prizes & Recognition
The grand prize winner will be awarded $5 ,000 and will be featured in Inc. Magazine, along with two tickets to the Inc. 5000 Conference and Gala (a value of $1,700 for each ticket). Each of the 4 runners-up will receive $3,000 and will get featured in Inc. Magazine as well. Lastly, the featured post on Bigcommerce will be mention all the winners, which will socially promote them to their 250,000 followers.
